I have been super busy with all the cake orders and felt relieved, when we decided to press pause when it comes to the Sunday Markets. No more waking up at 3 am on Sundays. Hello sleep-ins! And after hectic Easter times, I’ve finally had time for some baking and flavor experimenting!
The weather is getting cooler (finally!) and that means I have a craving for hearty, warming spices, ingredients and foods. So here you have a perfect apple pie smoothie, breakfast smoothie that works great as a dessert or snack!
1 cup (or to taste) almond milk
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
few drops of caramel flavored stevia, dates, maple syrup or sweetener of your choice (optional)
1 scoop plant-based protein powder (optional)*
* I used Amazonia RAW Slim & Tone Cinnamon Vanilla Protein Powder
Place all the ingredients into a food processor. I prefer using frozen bananas. Run until smooth. Use as much almond milk as you need. Use less, if you like your apple pie smoothie thick. This will be like a liquid apple pie! Enjoy!
