This matcha peppermint chocolate is so delicious, but also very healthy because of the pure ingredients, essential oil and superfoods used. There’s not many combinations as perfect as peppermint and chocolate. For this recipe I used doTERRA Peppermint essential oil, and for more health benefits, I added some matcha powder too.
1/2 cup cacao butter, melted
1/2 cup coconut butter, melted
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp matcha powder (or to taste)
5 drops of doTERRA peppermint essential oil (or to taste)
pinch of vanilla powder or a drop of vanilla essence (optional)
- Melt cacao butter and coconut butter in a pot, using a double boiler.
- Gently stir in the maple syrup.
- Add vanilla, matcha powder and peppermint oil. Start with smaller amounts of matcha and peppermint and adjust to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined. Carefully pour the matcha peppermint chocolate in desired chocolate molds and pop in the freezer to set. Enjoy!
