It’s been a while again, since I have posted recipes. My apologies. I will share a great smoothie recipe with you today. I eat smoothies for breakfast most of the mornings, because it’s easy and quick to make. This papaya banana smoothie is so delicious and summery. I hope you love it! The reason for not posting much lately is that I am working on new website at the moment. The process is taking much longer than I expected! My plan was to start posting again when my new site is ready. That might take a while, so here I am!
I have been obsessed with watching videos on YouTube lately. All about veganism, animals and things like that. I have learnt soooo much and I am struggling what to do with the information. A big part of me wants to shout it all out and make everyone else aware of these things too. I haven’t been this kind of “angry vegan” for a long time. Needless to say, my partner is a bit puzzled of what to do with this new version of me. And so am I! If you are interested, learn more FACTS about vegan diet and lifestyle, the reasons behind it and the TRUTH. And I am talking about the real truth, not research funded by the meat and dairy industry. I recommend looking into Dr. McDougall, Gary Yourofsky and Durianrider. Some of these people have very controversial ways of educating people. I am a big fan of fact without bull****. But all of them share tons of information about vegan lifestyle.
I have been believing in low sugar diets for years, but for a week or two, I have been going really high carb, low protein and low fat. I feel amazing, my skin is clear and beautiful. I’ve been smashing down fruit and loving it! This smoothie I made the other morning is absolutely beautiful. I made a massive jug of it, but feel free to scale down the amount of fruit if you like 🙂 I also think coconut water would taste amazing. I used plain filtered water for this one.
Banana is an amazing fruit, high in potassium. Banana is real beauty food! It makes your skin smooth and dewy. It soothes your muscles and nerves. Papaya is amazing to sooth your digestion (like banana). Add a pinch of cinnamon for warming effect and to stabilize your blood sugar and to treat muscle spasms. Papaya banana smoothie is a great energy booster for your mornings!
2 small papayas
water as needed (I probably had 0.5 litres of water)
1-2 tsp cinnamon powder
vanilla drops (optional)
Peel and cut the fruit. Blend all the ingredients. Enjoy!
