Any other pina colada lovers in the house?! I haven’t had adult pina colada for years, but it used to be my favorite cocktail. While travelling in Thailand years ago, me and my friend went out for dinner one night. For a dessert we decided to get pina coladas and that turned into “the hunt of the BEST pina colada”. Fun times. Also reminds me of how adult and responsible (boring?) I feel these days! 😀 This pina colada smoothie is not one of those pina coladas. This one is actually healthy, good for you and very tasty! I had pina colada smoothie for breakfast today and really wanted to share this recipe with you!
I used frozen banana in this recipe, but if you could also make this by using more pineapple. The pineapple I used wasn’t frozen, but if you don’t use frozen banana, you might want to freeze some of the pineapple for that nice cool frosty smoothie.
1 frozen banana, diced
1 cup fresh pineapple
1/2 cup coconut milk
1-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend till smooth. Adjust the amount of liquid, depending on how thick smoothie you like. Enjoy!
